Portfolio review

A portfolio review evaluates a candidate's past work directly, rather than relying on their description of it. For creative, engineering, and other output-driven roles, it is a fast way to verify real ability before investing in interviews.

Reviewing the portfolio early filters candidates on demonstrated quality, not credentials or interview polish. For output-driven roles, the work itself is the strongest evidence available.

It is the lighter-weight companion to a test assignment: the portfolio shows what a candidate has already done, the assignment shows what they can do for you, and a structured interview probes the thinking behind both.
